David Fulford is a West Yorkshire photographer and art who also teaches darkroom practice. Interested in having more conversations about photographs rather than cameras, he founded Holmfirth Photosocial, a community-led photography group.

His personal work runs in two directions: considered studio work and a looser walking practice that casts a dry eye over edgeland landscapes. Both come from the same instinct: set up the conditions, get out of the way, and see where it goes. This “I wonder what would happen if…” impulse has pulled in sound, electronics, fabrication and print alongside photography.
